We know that the ‘ tides ‘ originate due to the gravitational pull of the moon. Celestial bodies attract each other constantly like magnets i.e. known as Gravitational force. However, as the gravitational force of Earth is much stronger than that of the Moon, it can hold on to everything except water. Water on earth keeps moving across a vast space, and the slightest gravitational pull of the Moon generates tides. Consequently, there are two high tides and two low tides each day. Not only tides, the gravitational pull of Moon often coincides with the plant, animal, and human biological cycles. Everyone may wonder how large bodies of water are connected to human beings on earth. This is because the human body consists of 70% water. And, like water bodies, the gravitational pull of Moon also affects our body; ultimately affects our well-being and mood.
In women, PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome) may be linked to the moon. Sometimes the unidentified mood swings and the constant parallel universe perception are difficult to analyze. Women’s menstrual cycle is often correlated with the lunar cycle period. Interestingly, the Moon’s lunar day, which lasts 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes, is in comparison to the average menstrual cycle. Likewise, for men, it’s almost mysterious why you’re always feeling deranged or even getting hurt at the slightest stage. The moon is linked to the emotional body in astrological terms, regulating happiness and fulfillment. The moon is a representation of how we feel about ourselves, how we interact with our relationships and how we react to circumstances. This relates to our inner world and, rooted in the unconscious, deep patterns of thinking and feeling. The lunar cycle has an impact on human reproduction, particularly fertility, menstruation, and rates of birth. The levels of melatonin seem to align with the menstrual cycle. Many human behavior-related events, such as traffic accidents, murders and suicides, seemed to be impacted by the lunar cycle.
A lunar cycle starts with the new moon. It’s time to get your power back to starting again. New beginnings, fresh starts, and clean slates are the themes surrounding the new moon. This time, an extreme reboot should be used. Imagine filling up and recharging yourself under this new moon’s energy. The waxing crescent moon represents intention, hopes, and wishes. After recharging under the new moon, you are ready to plant your thoughts and desires. The first quarter moon takes place a week after the new moon. It is the time when we begin to feel some resistance in the form of obstacles. If your plans have been rooted during the new moon, here you will encounter your first obstacles to achieve these goals. The gibbous waxing symbolizes change, development, and editing. When things don’t always work the way we’ve expected them, this moon phase will help you realize what you need to reassess, give up, or change direction. During the full moon, emotions run high, and during this process, it is important not to become overly emotional or attached to anything. Some of us may feel deprived of sleep on a full moon night, while some may experience a wave of emotions reaching them, and the rest may be puzzled about the awkward activity. The waning gibbous symbolizes gratitude, sharing, and enthusiasm. Everyone enjoys the rewards of the last two weeks of hard work. The themes surrounding the last moon are release, letting go, and forgiveness.. Like the size of the moon, you have to be able to let go of stuff. The last phase of the moon, the waning crescent symbolizes Surrender, rest, recuperate. It’s time to prepare for a new cycle now, and there’s nothing wrong with resetting intentions.
Hence, the moon along with all its phases comprise major attributes human show in their behaviour.
